In partnership with the San Diego River Park Foundation, and The Arabic Council of San Diego, NSD is excited to announce our new project the Inter-generational Public Transit Use Training.
This project is designed to provide the newcomers community of San Diego’s East County with the opportunity to explore the outdoors. especially families who live in apartment complexes with no green spaces available for healthy activities.
We encourage parents, grandparents, and their children to participate.
The Project Elements are:
Education: Parents will attend a public transit use training workshop
Transit Ride: Parents, grandparents, and children will have an on-hand experience using the bus and trolley
Destination: A local park, recreational site, a museum, etc.
Other activities: Family picnic at the park
How to Support :
- Donate bus passes
- Donate access tickets (Museum, Zoo, national parks, etc..)
- Provide a healthy activity

- Donate funds for other training costs
