In partnership with the County of San Diego HHSA, NSD facilitated leadership academies for the refugee community in El Cajon IN 2017. The goal is to empower refugees with the knowledge, tools, strategies and commitment to make positive changes at the neighborhood level, increasing the quality of life to all residents, advocate and represent themselves, voice their concerns, and confidently address their concerns to the public officials and decision makers.
