How to Celebrate the Independence Day
One of the NSD project goals is to offer the newcomer’s refugees & immigrants an explanation about the US culture and events.
American celebrates the 4th of July every year as the Independence Day. This is the day the United States declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain 1776. It is one of the most important national holidays or we can call it the birthday of the United States, and there are one or more questions about it in the citizenship interview.
The name in English:
The name is Independence Day or as known as 4th of July (Fourth of July)
Themes & Customaries:
– Wearing clothes with US flag colors; white, red, and blue and stars.
– Celebrations and Marches.
– The American flag on the houses, cars, buildings, or held by people.
– Baseball games.
– Going to parks and beaches (grilling).

Important notes:
– Please be informed that you might not find a close parking spot, look out for the parking rules and curve colors, be ready to walk for distance, and remember your car parking location.
– Take some food and water.

– Be prepared with some jacket for the night, it will be cool after the sunset according to the weather reports.
– Show you family members where the police are standing in case of straying or emergency.

تحتفل الولايات المتحدة الامريكية غدا الرابع من تموز بعيد الاستقلال (Independence Day) وهو يوم اعلان استقلال الولايات المتحدة الامريكية عن التاج البريطاني سنة .1776 وهو من المناسبات الرسمية المهمة في حياة الولايات المتحدة الامريكية حيث يعتبر عيد ميلاد الولايات المتحدة ويكون من اهم اسئلة الحصول على الجنسية الامريكية.
الاسم باللغة الانكليزية:
هو Independence Day يعني يوم الاستقلال.
او يسمى فقط بــ 4th of July ويلفظ (فورث اوف جولاي(
العادات المتعارف عليها في هذا اليوم هي :
المسيرات والاحتفالات
مباريات كرة القدم الامريكية و البيسبول
ورفع العلم الامريكي على السيارات و البيوت.
لبس الملابس والقبعات والحقائب التي تحتوي على العلم الامريكي او الوان العلم الامريكي احمر, ازرق, ابيض, نجوم.
الذهاب الى المتنزهات او الشواطئ.
الالعاب النارية وهذا هو اهم جزء في الموضوع.

ملاحظات مهمة:
– اعرف دائما انك ستجد صوبة في صف سيارتك, إنتبه الى الاماكن المسموحة, وانتبه الى الوان الرصيف وكن مستعدا للمشي لمسافات بعيدة و احفظ مكان سيارتك.
– خذ معك مايكفيك من الماء و الاكل.
– خذ ملابس تقيك من الشمس, ويفضل القبعات و المضلات الشمسية و الكريم الواقي من ضوء الشمس.
– خذ ملابس دافئة احتياطا لبرد المساء.
– اتفق مع عائلتك على نقطة تجمع في حالة ان تفترقوا في الازدحام و افضل شئ هو ان تدل عائلتك على وقوف الشرطة.
– استمتع و اعرف ان الكلمة التي تستخدم في هذه المناسبة هي عيد استقلال سعيد او Happy 4th of July وتقال (هابي فورث اوف جولاي).
