El Cajon Educational Workshops On District Elections

El Cajon Educational Workshops On District Elections

Ballot Initiative (“Measure S”) Starting This Week

A City-sponsored Ballot Initiative, “Measure S,” will be on the ballot for the November 2016 general municipal election. Measure S is proposing to amend the City Charter in order to establish district-based elections within the City of El Cajon, beginning in 2018.

The City of El Cajon will be holding three educational workshops to update and educate local residents on this ballot measure, the California Voting Rights Act, and district-based elections.  Two of those workshops are this week.

All residents are encouraged to attend in order to become informed on the issue and to ask questions.  The same materials will be covered in each workshop.  So, residents only need to attend the workshop with the date and location that is most convenient.

All Workshop Times:  7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
